Environmentally Friendly Adhesives

Basic Adhesives is 100% Water Based

  • Water is the media for the adhesive

  • Water based adhesives have a mild odor

  • Water evaporation is the method for drying

  • International 3rd party testing organization (SGS - http://www.sgs.com/) to maintain our REACH compliance for SVHC

  • SVHC: Substance of very high concern

  • REACH: Regulation (EC) NO 1907/2006 of the European parliament and of the council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), establishing a European Chemicals Agency

Hazardous Solvent Adhesives

  • Solvent is the media (toluene, DMF, butanone, methyl ethyl ketone, etc.)

  • Solvents have a very strong and irritating smell

  • Solvents can be volatile

  • Solvents may require special storage and transportation restrictions

  • Solvents may cause serious health concerns

The Hazards of Solvent Adhesives:

High concentration of exposure, may affect the central nervous system, and its symptoms show fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, dizziness, confusion, poor coordination, nausea, and vomiting. Some solvents may lead to coma and anesthesia, such as: ethanol, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone etc.  Some exposure may cause liver damage, loss of consciousness and death.  High concentrations of gas may irritate eyes and can cause pain when touched.  Gas may irritate the nasopharyngeal pathways.

Different Packaging:

Water base cement: due to the characteristics of mild and non-corrosive, use plastic buckets as packing container

Solvent cement: due to the characteristics of stimulating and corrosive, choose metal buckets as packing container.
